One of the things I get asked the most about is how to find a niche or target market.

We have covered is to go ahead and visit different forums and see what people are talking about.

The second thing we talked about was taking a look at the magazine shelf and see what magazines are covering. If a magazine is published about a particular subject, then you can bet that there are people buying in that niche.

Here is another way you can do some quick research and see what other ideas you can come up with. Basically, there are sites you can visit to see what people are searching right now on the internet!

I’ll list 3 sites here now that you can start to do some research on.

The first is our friend…Google.

Visit this link: www.google.com/products

When you go there, Google lists recent search queries on actual products. IF you refresh your search bar, then you get a new list of the most recent. Pretty cool for ideas.

Now, go visit this link: www.dogpile.com/

When you visit Dogpile, you will get a listing of actual real…or pretty real time listing of searches. That can give you some more great ideas.

Lastly, visit : www.metaspy.com/

Here you will get the most recent searches from their data base, updated every 15 seconds.

So…what should you do now?

Get on over and start doing some research. Who knows…your next sale may be waiting to happen!

What do you do when you come up to that inevitable wall that every aspiring internet marketer runs into while getting started?

You have to keep going and plowing along.

What is most important is that you talk with people…get support and ask questions!

For those of you who are WA members, you know how important that support is. Find people who are successful, or even at your level, and talk it out!

Heard the story of Colonel Sanders and how many doors he had to knock on before anyone gave him a chance at his secret recipe?

What about the amount of failures that Abe Lincoln had before becoming President of the US?

And Thomas Edison on inventing the light bulb?

All these gentlemen kept going, and they looked forward and did not fester on temporary failure.

Remember, every failure takes you one step closer to success!

What I am doing now, and continue to do is off page SEO (the manual gives good instructions on doing the on page SEO to attract the Search Engine Bots)

My Recommendation?

This is a great tool to make use of Ebay sales, and a quick way to create niche websites. Once you get good, you can truly have a site up in 2 hours, banner included.

Once you get the site up an running, you just need to drive traffic. But the templates are quick and you can add pages and categorize them quickly…almost like using a blog format.

You do need to do the work on SEO and driving the traffic, but the site creation is quick.

Lastly the forum is great, and people are very helpful in trying to get you going. It is not like some of the affiliate marketing sites, that can be coy and downright rude to members.

I just finished reading the SEO Book by Aaron wall, and there is an interesting article about copy writing. He talks about how important it is to be able to connect and create rapport with your reader.

Essentially, what you need to do is get on the same side of the table with your audience and create trust with them.

Aaron writes in a no nonsense style, and I really enjoyed the book.

As far as writing, he highly recommends Persuasive Online Copywriting: How to Take Your Words to the Bank, so I’ve just ordered it to read. I’ll let you guys know if it is any good. I’m sure I’ll find some great nuggets here.

There are many internet marketing online affiliate programs out there, and sometimes it can be a bear to figure out which ones to get started with, and which ones, are just a bunch of bunk!  It took me a while to decide which internet marketing online affiliate programs I wanted to work with, but after searching, I am glad I made the decisions I made.

The very first internet marketing online affiliate program that I signed up for was clickbank.com.  This is one of the first sites that many people start out with, and they really offer a lot of digital products available for immediate download.  The other reason people starting out in affiliate marketing pick click bank is that it is really easy to use, and the service does not require you to have a website to register and start promoting.  You can sign up right away, and immediately start to promote through article marketing, ppc, or bum marketing.

Another great internet marketing online affiliate program to look at is commission junction.  Commission junction can be found at cj.com  and they are a large site that many of the big offline, brick and mortar companies sign up for to have their online affiliate programs.  They do require you to have a website though.

There are some other great affiliate marketing sites like shareasale.com, and linkshare.com.  They are similar to commission junction, and have a solid reputation.

The last place to consider looking for internet marketing online affiliate program is by going direct to the merchant.  Many merchants set up their own affiliate programs instead of signing up with a network.  If this is the case, make sure you pick an affiliate program that pays on time, and has a good reputation. Afterall, your reputation is on the line.

Affiliate Internet Marketing Tip-Fast Blog Finder 

There are many search engine optimization techniques designed around getting your site to rank high in the organic listings. Some of those ranking include article writing, submitting to directories, and buying links.  Another great way to build that rank is to get back links to your website by posting on blogs.  There is a right way and wrong way to blog post, meaning you do not want to create spam, but want to truly add value to the blog post.

I learned this strategy, and I was also given a free copy of software that helps with the process.  I will provide you with a link so you can get your free copy, btw, (it is called fast blog finder), but let me tell you a little bit about the program.

The software basically locates related blogs based on keywords you enter into a search query.  The query results will show the blog, the page rank of the blog, and whether or not the blog will pass along some google juice to you.

While in the software, you can read the blog post, make your comment, and then move on to the next comment.

While you make your comment, you can even post the comment to article directories. When you make your post, you can then save the best blogs in your favorites folder so you can refer back to it and make other posts as the site is updated.

When you use the free version, the software will find up to 50 posts for you to make entries to.

I have had Fast Blog Finder for almost 2 weeks now, and I have found it very useful in my link building efforts.  I recently tried to find blogs by doing a google search, and I wasted about half an hour and had not made any posts since many of the blogs I found did not take comments!

I will say that the program is fast, easy to use, and very idiot proof.  The only thing that I had a problem with was that some of the blogs did not accept my posts.  My guess is that there may have been some spam filter on it, and while I was making relevant posts, something may have prevented the post.

The other downside is that I can only get 50 listings per search.  I am considering the software upgrade so I can get more options in my postings.
