I just finished reading the SEO Book by Aaron wall, and there is an interesting article about copy writing. He talks about how important it is to be able to connect and create rapport with your reader.
Essentially, what you need to do is get on the same side of the table with your audience and create trust with them.
Aaron writes in a no nonsense style, and I really enjoyed the book.
As far as writing, he highly recommends Persuasive Online Copywriting: How to Take Your Words to the Bank
